Chapter 21 : Amy: The performer

November was a month of performance for Amy. She delivered a speech on her School Assembly. She participated in story telling competition at school for children’s Day. She participated in action song during children’s Sunday at church. And finally she did her very first dance performance at Don Bosco school auditorium as part of John Britto Dance Co Climax 2018.  Wow…She became busy than we are. My little girl is growing.. J

Speech

It was on last of October I got a call from Amy’s teacher,while I was at my office. She spoke to me and informed that Amy need to tell a speech about Christmas on School Assembly and the matter is given to her. I have to teach her. Evening I found a 5 sentence speech about Christmas attached with her Diary. Since my in-laws was with us during those Days, Father –in-law made some changes in speech and I started teaching her. I took almost a week to make her by heart the speech and she delivered the speech on Nov 8^th . It was written in her diary that she delivered the speech very well.. J

Story Telling

It was during Term one assessment result announcement and PTA, we were informed that there will be story telling competition as well as clay modelling competition as a part of children’s day celebration. The child can opt for either one of them and need to be informed by Nov 9^th. I opted for storytelling. She already knows the story of Lion and mouse. I started teaching the same Story to make her by heart. We started our story telling practicing after Nov 8^th speech. Since she was very lazy, I need to take stick to make her learn storytelling. Thus she learned her story with action and participated in story telling competition on Nov 14^th. She told me in the evening that Teacher informed her that she will get a price. But yet to get it. Still waiting.. J

Action Song

It’s been a month by Nov 11^th that we went to Garrison church. On nov 11^th, Sunday school teacher informed me that they are having children Sunday next week and kids had already practiced action song. But Amy don’t know even the Song. Sunday school teacher informed me that there will be practice on next Saturday evening by 5.30 and asked me to bring her. I also got the song from her. Since Amy had storytelling on nov 14^th, my concentration was on making her by heart the story. Once it got over, I started making her listen to the action ‘song’ played in youtube. But I don’t know the exact action taught by her Sunday school teacher, so I just made her to listen to song. Since Amy had Dance practice on Saturday evening, we were late to take her to the church for action song practice and by the time we reached, kids had already practiced the song. Teacher told me to bring her by 7.00 AM to church tomorrow. By then she almost knows the song, but doesn’t know the action. Still we took her to church by Sunday 7.00 Am and she do participate in action song standing in the center of the front row of kids., doing whatever action she knows. But it was really cute and nice. Love you my LADDUUUU.. J

Dance

I forgot to tell that Amy is going to Dance classes on Saturday and Sunday . She is in John Britto Dance Academy. It is a reputed dance company owned by Dancer John Britto. They have a yearly program on very year end and this year program was arranged on Nov 25^th Sunday evening at Don Bosco School auditorium, Egmore. Even though she joined the dance class 3 months back, and she don’t know most of the steps, her master(Sara) let her participate in the annual event. Costumes are given a week before and all is set. We took her to the auditorium for practice and she was excited to dance in such a big stage. Finally, the day had come and we reached the auditorium. The auditorium was crowed with kids and their parents from different JB Dance schools across Chennai. Amy went to sit with her dance mates as informed by organizers. I was little nervous, since it is a new place and fully crowded, so I took a seat in such a way that I can always keep an eye on Amy. But she was very happy sitting with her friends. After taking group photo, all the kids are taken to gallery for sitting and watching. Once their time for performance arrive, they will come to stage and perform. Since it is an open stage, all the lights will be off while a new group get into stage for performance. I was very very nervous thinking Amy is afraid of darkness and it is a new place and crowded. But she went to stage and her group did a fabulous performance. After the performance, they are taken by her master to gallery again and after few minutes, he escorted all kids to their parents. Amy was so happy and excited… J

Chapter 20: Are you beaten up during childhood?

It’s been a long time I have written an incident.

Now I have one. Amy is very very naughty now days. Few days back, she had cold and she rubbed her nose on my dress. I scolded her. After few minutes, she did the same I scolded her again and asked her to rub her nose in a handkerchief. I took a handkerchief and gave her as well.

She just throws the handkerchief and run to me rubbing her nose in my dress..I got angry like nothing and I told her that I will beat her..

She just looked at me and asked: “Why you are always beating me? Did your parents ever beat you like this?”.

I was shocked for a moment and gave her a big slap on her thighs.

Then I told her that both your parents are brought up by getting beaten from their parents and we are not gonna spare you as well…  J

She was not convinced. So during video call with her grandma @ night, she checked with her whether her grandma ever beaten her daughter (that’s me). My mom said she had beaten me many times..

Amy checked the same with her Paternal grandma as well.

My mother-in-law said like she had beaten her sons by fastening them in a tree, so that they won’t run away.. J

I told my daughter that at least you are so luck that you didn’t get beaten by fastening you somewhere.. J

Chapter 19 : Vedanta Academy

Yea.. Its a new start for Amy. She joined LKG in Vedanta Academy on june 13^th. The day, she was very excited and we both dropped her at school. School was decorated and there were mickey mouse and chotta been to welcome kids. She went inside happily. J Parents were not supposed to get inside the school and see kids. Classes were there till 10.30 only.

And on next Monday, we told her that we will drop her @ school. But she refused and she went in School bus. It was the very first time she is traveling in a Bus, that too alone…All tension was for me and my husband. But she was super cool. She started going in school bus then onwards. J

And that incident took place after few days.

I usually wake up by 5.30,so tat I can finish cooking lunch and breakfast by 7.30 and get Amy ready by 8.

I will make Amy and husband wake up by 7.00.

And I brush her teeth and make her bath by 7.30 and then its half an hour breakfast time from 7.30 to 8.But on that day, she didn’t finish her breakfast by 8 and we became late .Its 8.05 and bus will come by 8.05.So Myself and Amy were in a hurry to catch the bus. My husband already went out to see if the bus is coming. So we rushed out by 8.05 and in all this hurry burry thing I took the bag in my hand and took her out for bus. Bus came, she got in, I gave the bag to the maid in the bus and bus went. WE came back to home. WE both had breakfast, I took bath, got ready for office. My husband told me that he will drop me in office.SO we are about to leave, we find Amy’s bag in the sofa. 

My husband said “What? here is Amy’s bag? But I remember u handed maid a bag.. Then whose bag was that?”

I was also thinking. Yes..I handed a bag to maid.. then I realized… Its my husband’s office bag.. In a hurry I took his bag instead of Amy’s bag, both of which are in sofa and gave that bag to maid. Since his laptop was kept outside, the bag was not heavy also. So I didn’t realize.

 Immediately we went to her school and told her teacher that bags got exchanged and gave her bag to her teacher.
Her teacher told me: “Amy informed once she came in that it’s not her bag, but it’s her dads bag, but I thought you might have kept Amy’s things in Amy’s Dad’s bag and gave.”

Chapter 18: Motta(Bald) Amy

It took an entire year for me to convince my husband that Amy’s hear should be cut and made bald one more time before she started going to School (I mean L.K.G).

We made Amy bald two time and I just want to do it one more time before she started going to school.

And finally we planned to do it after Easter. that is on April first week.

Since our entire plan got changes due to my Mom’s hospitalization and we were @ my home during Easter. We returned to home next week of Easter and he officially informed his Parents that we are gonna make Amy bald one more time.

His mom got Angry and his brother also didn’t agree. They are telling like it will take long time to grow hair for Amy. That’s why they don’t need to cut her hair. But for me I just need her more think hair once she grows up and for that I need to cut her hair bald. My father in law came to support us.

Amy was also ready for her Hair cut. Since we already convinced her that she will get long hair once she cut her hair bald.

And that Sunday afternoon we took Amy to green trends and cut her hair to Bald.

I expect that Amy will cry.

But for my Surprise, she was happy… She was soo happy that we thought we might have done this long before.

She is excited to see her bald.

I think she is the only girl who get excited when she got bald. J

Now Amy is the hero @ her day care with her Bald hair and other parents are trying to convince their kids to cut their hair to bald, since it is very hot Summer. 

Chapter 17: Amy-The next generation Kid.

 Since my Mom fell down and got a knee cap fracture and hospitalized. We need to travel to Kochi in an emergency.

Me and Amy was there for 2 weeks taking care of my Mom. Achayan came back after few days, leaving us with my mom and brother.

She was always behind my brother calling ..Mama..mama… And one day Amy and Sachin(My bother) went for Shopping, since Amy want some Chips. I was surprised to see that she went with him alone.

She won’t go with anyone if myself or her dad is not around. This is the first time she is going out with a person other than her parents. I peeped out of my balcony and saw her sitting on the front seat next to Driver seat when Sachin drove the car and went out of the building. I was expecting both of them back anytime thinking she will cry and they will return half way. But it doesn’t happen.

They went to 3 shops. Bought many things and came back after an hour.

She came with a Gems in her hand. And Told me that Mama bought her Gems and 2 type of Chips and egg and Banana and etc..

She opened the Gems and started sharing one each to all of us.Then is finished rest all ..

After sometime she is behind Mama asking for other Gems.  But he told her that he bought only one Gems and he gave that to her..

Even we also thought the same.

But actually he bought two, gave her one at hand and gave another for billing without showing her and it’s there inside the carry bag they brought in.

Even after tell her that there is only one, she said.. “Mama, I saw you taking one more Gems.”

Then my bother asked her “how”

Amy : “ I saw you taking one more Gems and giving it for billing through CCTV.”

We all said “What??”

“Yes  Mama.. I saw you through CC TV.”

For that my Mom said : “She is the next generation Kid. Beware ..”

Chapter 16: A song

Even she doesn’t know what it means.

All these started about 3 months back. She started singing this song and even I didn’t understand what exactly it is. I asked her where she heard such song and she told me that Dugra mom taught her at school.

I tried and tried to understand the song and is of no use. I can’t understand single word in it.

But by the time the song became so famous that her Cousin Asher, her grandma…etc became a huge fan of this song and the way Amy sing this song.

Even my brother learned this song and started singing it.  Not only my brother, whole family learned this song..

After few days I got an opportunity to talk with Durga mom.

I asked her whether she taught this song and she was surprised.!

Even she doesn’t know the song.

I informed her that Amy told that it is she who taught the song to Amy.

And I asked Amy to sing it for Durga mom.

Amy sang it.

Durga mom told Amy… “Tomorrow you have to taught this song to us.”

So this song became famous at her school also.

Even now also she is singing this song…

Wow ….

Even I am humming the same very often.
