This is about Christmas midnight service..
For the past 3 years, since Amy was small she didn’t know
what is a midnight service during Christmas. This year once we were taking
about going to midnight service, she asked me what it is. So I explained her
that we will be having church service during midnight on Christmas eve. She was
excited.
Finally festival season started and we (Me, Achayan and Amy)
went to Jain apartment to celebrate Christmas with my in-laws. My mother in law
prepare lots of cakes and sweets to share with relatives, friends and neighbors.
So Christmas season we ladies will be
fully busy preparing all these sweets.
This Christmas also, we prepared Cake, Achappam, Diamon,
Athimaduram etc.. It took 3 days for us to prepare all sweets and we are done
with the preparation by 24th evening only. We were very tired..
But all decides to go to mid night service itself..Amy was
excited..
But everybody went to their own rooms to get a small nap
before going to church. Me Achayan and Amy were in our room, playing… I was so
tired that I didn’t sleep, because, if I slept, I won’t be able to wake up for
midnight service.
Its 10.30 PM and Amy is behind me asking me to change her
dress. Achayan went to my in-laws room and my mother-in-law was asleep. She was
tired that she asked to go for morning service. No midnight service.
But by the time Achayan came back to our Room, Amy was all
ready for Church. She went to her Ammachi along with her dad and made her
awake. My mother-in-law got furious but finally she changed her dress for
church.
Even my brother-in-law and co-sister was not ready and their
kid (Asher) was sleeping. Amy made everybody to wake up and get ready for
church. All of us tried to convince her and made her sleep so that all can go
for morning service next day. But Amy didn’t agree. She wants to go for
midnight service itself.
Finally we all got ready and reached church by 11.30.But the
most interesting fact was Amy fell asleep by the time we reached Church!.
